Police Simulator: Patrol Officers – „The Holding Cells“ Update Begins Beta Phase on March 22, 2022

Players of the successful early access game Police Simulator: Patrol Officers for PC can already look forward to two new features that fans have wanted for the longest time: The The Holding Cells update will introduce the possibility to transport handcuffed suspects in the officers’ own vehicle and transfer them to holding cells upon arrival in the precinct, while a new modding feature will allow players to get creative with uniform and vehicle skins. The The Holding Cells update starts into its beta phase on March 22, 2022 and will officially become available as part of the game on April 12, 2022.

Transporting suspects for more realism and basic modding for creative players

Always eager to increase the game’s realism, the development team of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has chosen one of the most fervently wished for features for their next update this April: In addition to calling a police van for backup to a crime or accident scene to have suspects transported to the station, players can now use their own vehicle to take up to two handcuffed individuals to the precinct themselves, and transfer them to realistically recreated holding cells. Another feature players were often asking for in the many community channels of the game is the possibility to add their own changes via modding. The update will soon give creative players the chance to mod uniform and vehicle skins to give their officers’ appearance an individual touch and make their patrol cars stand out from the crowd. Other optimizations such as the ability to give accident reports to arrested persons and to fine suspects even after handcuffing them as well as extensive bug-fixing will also improve the gameplay experience.

All those who would like to play the The Holding Cells update in its beta phase will have the opportunity to do so starting March 22, 2022 on a beta branch set up especially for this purpose on Steam. As with previous updates, the Police Simulator: Patrol Officers team is looking forward to a lot of constructive player feedback on the official communication channels such as Steam Twitter, Facebook, In tagram, Discord or the Roadmap.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers by developer Aesir Interactive and publisher astragon Entertainment is available in early access for PC via Steam  and the official astragon homepage for 19.99 Euro/USD 24.99/17.99 GBP (RSP). The game is supported by a game-grant of the German funding body FilmFernsehFonds Bayern. All contents of the update phases until the official end of early access are already included in the price. A detailed overview of upcoming content can be found in the official Police Simulator: Patrol Officers Roadmap.
