Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap – Coming to Mac & Linux July 18th

DotEmu, developer and publisher specializing in modern releases of beloved retro games, and Lizardcube, are thrilled to announce that Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is coming to Mac and Linux on July 18th, and that the Original Soundtrack is available now!

After a triumphant return to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in April, and on PC in June, the remake of this Sega Master System classic makes its Steam debut for Mac and Linux on July 18th, 2017. And don’t worry – your passwords from ‘89 will still work here. Plus, the game’s sweet retro mode lets you enjoy the original game’s graphics and music.

The Original Soundtrack (OST) is now available… with a surprising Bonus Disc!

The critically-acclaimed, long-awaited Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap OST arrives today on Steam and Bandcamp (and soon on PlayStation 4), with no less than 89 tracks (get it?) for only $4.99, or $3.99 when bundled with the game!

Every classic, infinitely hummable theme birthed from Shinichi Sakamoto’s fertile mind has been reimagined and exquisitely re-orchestrated by master composer Michael Geyre. A true labor of love for Mr. Geyre, this eminently enjoyable soundtrack is a must-have album made by fans, for fans.

The OST’s 33 main tracks total over an hour of high-quality music, featuring live musicians performing with a wide variety of styles and instruments. The 56 bonus tracks comprise an exclusive extra hour of alternate versions, sketches, unused and/or rejected material, offering deep insight into the composition and arrangement process.
