Bumpin’ Uglies – Now Available for iOS Devices

Ham in the Fridge, a mobile and social developer famed for Adult Swim’s Five Minutes to Kill Yourself and partnership titles with companies such as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and KidsWB, announced today the release of Bumpin’ Uglies for iPad and iPhone across North America.  Its first independently developed title, Ham in the Fridge’s Bumpin’ Uglies is free-to-play and now available on the App Store.

Bumpin’ Uglies brings loads of gleeful fun to players including:

  • Tons of Ugly: Bump through 45 levels of increasing challenge and fun, with even more for future release.
  • Custom Ugly: Collect and spend shineys to unlock levels or purchase them to speed up the process.
  • Extra Ugly: Get creative by designing an Ugly to look extra ugly or only kind of ugly, the choice is up to the player.
  • Who is the Ugliest of Them All? Share your Ugly on Facebook and Twitter and compete with your friends to get the most Bumplings.

“We’re certainly in on the joke with Bumpin’ Uglies,” said Bret Hummel, President and Creative Director of Ham in the Fridge. “The name may raise a few eyebrows, but it’s a clever and addictive title with a lot of fun personality. People will love its pick-up-and-play nature, and the creative levels, the character customization and genetics system will keep them engaged and challenged to do better on each level.”

In Bumpin’ Uglies, players design their own Ugly, a hapless, adorably ugly little creature with the intellect of a block of wood, and fling it head first into the gene pool. Players use skill, logic and luck to navigate their Ugly through worlds of quizzical physics-based puzzles, all so that they can “bump” with the Uglies at the other end of those worlds. When they do, magical things happen and they get a gaggle of little Bumplings that blend their Ugly’s physical traits and those of the other Ugly.
