Aztec Quest (Review) iPhone

Looking for a way to get your creativity rolling? Look no further than  Aztec Quest. Aztec Quest allows you to take the elements of a puzzle and put them in their proper place to hit the ending diamond with your ball.  A ball comes out of the starting element, the dragonhead.

The other elements of the game consist of  rollers, spring pads, tubes, hammers, catapults and teleport pads.

These elements allow you change the speed or direction of the ball, bounce the ball up, direct the ball where to go, lob the ball in the air, and move the ball. There may be multiple ways to get the ball there, but only one right way. Upon opening the game you will be presented with 4 options: Play, Instructions, Options, and More Games.

Upon opening up the Instructions you will get 3 options: How to play, how to create puzzles and Elements. Under Options you can choose to register so you can put the puzzles you create on-line for everyone to play. I attempted this several times but kept being told that my usernames were unavailable, so I was unable to access these features.

You can also turn off the sound or choose your playlist based off the music you have stored on your iPhone. When you hit the play button you will have three options: Internal levels, Create your own levels, and Online play.

There are 65 internal levels.  As you go up in number, the levels get harder.

These are ranked with diamonds; green is the easiest, followed by yellow, red, and with purple being the hardest. There are  also online user created levels available. You can filter out puzzles by date, author, title, difficulty, and rating.

If you are stuck, a clue is available but it will cost you points. The game is fun to play and offers a challenge with multiple solutions but only one correct. The ability to create your own levels allows you to play around with the different elements in innumerable combinations. It is fun to experiment and try different combinations.

In addition to playing  developer created levels, being able to create your own puzzles for other to figure out and play user created levels adds a unique twist to Aztec Quest.  This allows you and other players to be puzzled for hours.  Overall, a title that everyone will enjoy and get the ball rolling on your creativity.

Fun game that keeps you thinking; puzzles require thinking outside the box. Disappointed at not being able to access online features.
