This year’s Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco, co-sponsored by Scoreloop and Mplayit, will be the place that the winners are revealed. The San Francisco GDC will be held at the Harlot bar located at 46 Minna Street, San Francisco, CA 94105 on Wednesday March 10 between 5:30 and 8:30 pm (just a couple more days).
‘’Having looked at hundreds of titles, we’re delighted to have whittled the list down to the very best of 2009,” said PG editor Rob Hearn, “a year that saw iPhone grab most of the headlines, while Java hung in with some of the best mobile games the platform as seen so far. Handheld releases were also strong, with consistent publisher support for DS and renewed focus on PSP resulting in a number of unmissable titles.”
While the editorial team will be choosing their winners, there will be a fan voting awards segment available called Pocket Gamer Readers’ Choice Awards 2010. Voting for the readers’ section will be open till the end of March so hurry and get your vote in while you can. Winners will be revealed in early April.
