According to Atlus, a new patch is planned that will address some of the network performance issues in KOF XIII. This patch will make the game’s network infrastructure more constant for players, ensuring that the evaluation given for connections is more accurate to the actual play experience.
The patch will also introduce ranked host-side filtering, eliminating the frustration of match hosts unable to avoid matches with players with poor connections. In addition, the patch will also address a number of rare glitches reported since the game’s release. No release date currently exists for the update.
Atlus also mentioned that the North American Playstation Network release for NESTS Kyo, the next downloadable character for KOF XIII, will be delayed until 1/10 due to a technical error. Atlus did not elaborate on what this technical error was.
“We apologize to our PlayStation 3 system KOF XIII fans for the slight delay of the next downloadable character,” stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales at ATLUS. “In gratitude to our fans for their patience, we will be discounting the NESTS Kyo character to $2.99 for a limited time when it is finally released in the North American PlayStation®Store on 1/10.”
