Barry Altman in April of 2010 founded Commodore USA, LLC with the purpose of re-establishing the Commodore computer brand. While a new, revitalized Commodore 64 computer is being released next month equipped with USB ports, a modern-day processor and an emulator to use Commodore 64 software, their next announcement sent shockwaves through the industry.
Commodore USA, LLC announced that the Amiga brand of computers will be returning to the marketplace. The new Amiga computers will be fully expandable, use modern-day technology, have their own proprietary OS (Amiga OS?) and software packages will be available during launch for Microsoft Word and Office compatibility.
Commodore USA, LLC. has the details of these new machines worked out and their designs are currently available on their website. The first Amiga computer will be a remodeled Amiga 1000. Its sleek, desktop design resembles the original machine from 1985. The Amiga 1000 will support an IR kit in its chassis to allow plug and play remote control, a Keyboard Garage for wireless keyboards, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a trackpad. The system will also support both MicroATX and ITX motherboards with a single riser or a dual riser for standard card expansions. It also uses a standard 1U power supply.

The Amiga 2000 and 3000 will be returning as modern revivals of their classic counterparts. Processor speed, processor type and other specfifcations (like the Amiga 1000) will be announced soon.
