Chaos Arena will return to Bethesda Softworks’ strategy card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends this week, following the success of December’s special event. Beginning this Friday, January 20th, the Elder Scrolls’ legendary Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath, will once again seize control of an alternate PvP Arena mode, plunging matches into chaos with randomly introduced scenarios and lane rules.
Moving forward, Chaos Arena will be a monthly special event for players, and, in future iterations, will introduce new, unique gameplay conditions that will continue to challenge competitors to devise emerging strategies as game rules change on the fly.
Chaos Arena will begin Friday, January 20th and end Monday, January 23rd.
Chaos Arena is an optional mode for PvP that randomly introduces one or more Special Scenarios or lane rules to each match. Special Scenarios include extra Magicka available for players; beginning games with cards already played in lanes; players swapping decks at the start of a match; and much more. Lane rules changes include random items; cards changing lanes randomly throughout the game; special buffs and bonuses in specific lanes; and much more.
Originally launched in conjunction with Chaos Arena in December, the Madhouse Collection is a special set of cards that brings a fresh set of strategic options for use in all Arena modes, including Sheogorath’s bizarre Chaos Arena. Purchasing the Madhouse Collection earns players three copies of each card as well as an Arena Ticket, which allows players to try Chaos Arena or jump online into regular Arena. The Madhouse Collection cards are available now for purchase with either in-game gold or for money through the in-game store.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends is the first free-to-play strategy card game based on the award-winning Elder Scrolls series and features innovative and strategic two lane gameplay, an epic single player campaign, and several multiplayer modes versus AI or live opponents. Both card game players and Elder Scrolls fans will find accessible gameplay for beginners as well as the strategic depth to keep expert players engaged. The Elder Scrolls: Legends is currently available in Open Beta on PC and is expected to release for PC, Mac, and iOS and Android Tablets in the future. The game is also in development for iOS and Android Phones.
