Hi-Rez Studios, creators of the hit MOBA, SMITE, have released their first mobile game, Jetpack Fighter. Featuring intuitive swipe-to-attack action controls, Jetpack Fighter lets players blaze a path of destruction through dozens of unique levels in order to rid a futuristic world of evil robots and killer bosses. Like all Hi-Rez games, Jetpack Fighter combines free-to-play accessibility with deep and rewarding gameplay.
In Jetpack Fighter, players collect and unlock new fighters and weapons in their quest to defeat the evil robots plaguing Mega City. After besting every baddie and boss on each chosen mission, players can return to collect more loot, or compete against other players in time trials and endless mode gameplay. Hi-Rez plans to position and support Jetpack Fighter as an emerging eSport in the mobile games space, with more details on its mobile eSports initiative slated for later this year.
To welcome Jetpack Fighter into the Hi-Rez universe, the SMITE goddess Nemesis has made her way into Jetpack Fighter. Players can unlock Nemesis for free in Jetpack Fighter by linking their Jetpack Fighter account to a Hi-Rez account. In addition, when players unlock the character Leona in Jetpack Fighter, they will also receive a free code to unlock a Leona-themed skin for Nemesis within SMITE. In essence, Leona and Nemesis have teamed up to not only dominate the Battleground of the Gods, but also to wreak vengeance on the menacing machines of Mega City.
Jetpack Fighter is free to download now in English-speaking territories on select iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices via the App Store.
The game will be localized for additional territories in the coming weeks.
