After receiving scores of fantastic submissions from fans around the world, Square Enix today announced the winners of the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call Legacy of Music contest. Contestants participated in this musical experience by creating and uploading a music video of themselves performing the main theme from the Final Fantasy series. Videos were carefully reviewed by legendary series composer Nobuo Uematsu, who chose the winners of the contest himself.
“I’d like to thank all the fans who submitted their videos to the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call contest,” said Uematsu. “All the submissions were extremely well done, and it was a difficult task to pick from among them, but I’ve selected the works that had the most distinctive construction.”
The Grand Prize went to Miles (United States) who received a complimentary trip to an upcoming Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy concert, signed soundtracks and a selection of fantastic prizes. Runner-up, Tanner (United States), also earned great prizes, including various Final Fantasy soundtracks, a signed Collector’s Edition of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call and Final Fantasy Static Arts Figures.
Square Enix also released a video of Uematsu personally congratulating the winners of the contest, as well as giving special thanks to everyone who participated. The contest brought together entrants from all around the world to make their own harmonious mark in Final Fantasy’s Legacy of Music.
