Condition One, a start up company focused on the development of immersive film experiences for the Oculus Rift, today released an interactive trailer for its upcoming 3D 360-degree film, “Zero Point.” Utilizing the Oculus Rift’s next generation technology, “Zero Point” immerses audiences into the world of Virtual Reality, creating a completely unparalleled engaging experience.
Created and directed by Academy Award nominee (“Hell and Back Again” — Best Documentary Feature, 2012) Danfung Dennis, “Zero Point” profiles pioneers of the emerging world of virtual reality, as well as the researchers and developers behind this entirely new digital dimension.
Providing a full 3D 360-degree interactive experience, the “Zero Point” interactive trailer puts viewers in direct control, allowing them to view their surroundings through simple mouse movements. Through this first glance of groundbreaking filmmaking, viewers will experience everything from a peaceful beach setting, the hectic halls of E3 and even intense military training within the confines of Camp Pendleton.
“It’s clear that it’s no longer a question of if Virtual Reality will happen, it’s just a matter of when. And when it does emerge, it will be a major platform shift in computing with the potential to fundamentally transform entertainment and communication,” said Danfung Dennis. “With ‘Zero Point,’ we wanted to showcase the profound importance of Virtual Reality by placing viewers in unique scenarios that they otherwise might not find themselves in.”
