Classic game that spawned a genre free on GOG.com; 30 other games up to 90% off in Valentine’s Day sale, and GOG’s weekend sale focuses on D&D games
GOG.com–the Internet’s one-stop shop for the best games in history, DRM-Free for PC and Mac–is showing the love for gamers this Valentine’s Day with the acclaimed Dungeon Keeper Gold (which includes the Deeper Dungeons expansion pack) completely free on GOG.com, courtesy of the fine folks at EA, for the next 48 hours until Sunday 16 February at 10:59 AM GMT. On top of this giveaway, they will be offering Dungeon Keeper 2 for just $1.49, and 29 more games up to 90% off in their Valentine’s Day promo, which focuses on titles that can be played with–or against–a gamer’s favorite “Player 2”.
Finally, GOG.com’s weekend sale has every D&D game in the company’s catalog available for sale for up to 80% off. All told, that’s 40 games discounted to help GOG.com show its love for gamers today.
Dungeon Keeper Gold, an award-winning classic game originally released in 1997, brings the experience of managing a dungeon and all of its nefarious inhabitants to PC & Mac. With famously dark humor, many different levels and unlockable room types and monsters to control, this game created a genre–the dungeon sim–and is available free for 48 hours to any GOG.com account holder, thanks to GOG.com’s friends at Electronic Arts.
The sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2, changed a number of mechanics, overhauled the dungeon creation system, and generally improved the game in a number of that ways that made it widely acclaimed as even better than the original. Dungeon Keeper 2 is discounted to just $1.49 in GOG.com’s Valentine’s Day sale.
Speaking of which, there are 29 other games that can be played in competitive or cooperative multiplayer on sale today at GOG.com up to 90% off. From Syndicate Wars ($1.49) to Arma 2 ($4.99) and from Fistpuncher ($1.99) to Trine ($0.99), there’s no end to great games, new and old, that GOG.com is offering to its users for them to play along with their preferred Player 2. The “Multiplayer Games” promo is also a 48 hour event that runs until Sunday 16 February at 10:59 AM GMT.
Finally, D&D classics like Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 and more are available up to 80% off on GOG.com’s weekend sale. Both the weekend sale, as always runs until Tuesday 18 February at 04:59 AM GMT. The heady combination of all of these great games on sale, plus the recent releases of the Red Faction games on GOG, Kentucky Route Zero Season Pass, and Eschalon: Book 3 give gamers plenty to choose from this weekend to help share the love with friends, or just check out what’s new on GOG.com.
