Forget Santa sneaking down your chimney – this Christmas, the person everyone wants to emerge from the shadows into their home is Stealth Bastard Deluxe, the brilliant action stealth puzzler from Curve Studios.
And those who’ve yet to experience the thrill of the purest game of stealth have even more cheer over the festive season, as the game joins the Steam Winter Sale, dropping 25 per cent to £5.24.
Since its release in November, the game has garnered considerable praise from press and consumers alike, its fast-paced, frenetic, one-step-away-from-chunky-death melange of sneaking, platforming, hacking and cursing proving a hit worldwide.
Players control an agent tasked with escaping the facility; a top security building filled with lethal puzzles, robots and traps. Throughout the game’s 80 levels, players must run, jump, sneak, slide and scamper their way through each room, hacking terminals, breaking locks, solving puzzles and, well, staying alive.
The Stealth Bastard Deluxe community has also been busy creating fiendish levels with the game’s wondrous level editor – and there are now over 1,400 additional user generated puzzles to download for free.
