Welcome to the second set of content reveals for the upcoming release of Champions of Regnum. We briefly mentioned in the announcement last week that new Instances would be coming, so this week we have a few more details to ease your curiosity about the exciting new expansion to Realms Online.
What are the new instances?
- ● Champions of Regnum will bring a new form of combat gameplay to the world with the introduction of Instanced Coliseums paired with an all-new Matchmaking system. This matchmaking system allows players to be auto matched for 1v1 private challenges in the new Coliseums, which will be the most visually compelling and strategically challenging battle sites within each Realm. Multi-realm battles will also be available within arenas and battlegrounds, hosting 8v8v8 in a 3-way battle for glory!
The new Instances coming in the expansion enable the eternal conflict between Ignis, Alsius and Syrtis to extend beyond the War Zone.
These controlled and more competitive environments also give willing and brave souls the chance to experience a new scoring and ranking system to track results on the way toward becoming a Champion of Regnum!
One of the major benefits of the new Level Match-making system is that you can always be assured of battling in combat with someone with your same level… even those from other Realms.
This way, the new Coliseums will welcome combatants from a wide range of levels, hosting them in level-balanced battles across multiple realms. Player skill will play an even more important role once you are battling someone with your same level.
