2K Play’s Latest Mobile Game ‘GridBlock’ Brings New Dimension to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android
In a colorful extension of its mobile games portfolio, 2K Play today announced GridBlock – the puzzle game you’ll flip over – is now available for free on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Android, including Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Players will need smooth moves and steely reserve as they flip, tilt, slide and shake electro-blocks into place on the GridBlock board – replete with obstacles and bright techno colors.
Along the way, gamers will teleport through gravity-defying levels and maneuver around mind-blowing mazes as they explore unusual worlds including “Boom Town,” “Absolute Zero” and “Shock Therapy.” The physics-based game play is enhanced with unique blocks that hop like jumping beans, slide like ice cubes, change colors like chameleons and shatter like glass. Variations in friction, inertia, combustion and energy round out the viral puzzle experience.
Puzzle gamers seeking an extended stay in the Z-space of GridBlock can unlock the full version of the game for $2.99, spanning nine unique worlds, 80 mazes and more than 20 different block types. Players can connect to Game Center or Game Circle to track achievements and compare their scores to competitors on the leader boards.
2K Play’s GridBlock joins House Pest Starring Fiasco the Cat and Comedy Central’s Indecision Game in the app stores. House Pest – with state-of-the-art animations and the hilarious hijinks of Fiasco the Cat – has been climbing the iTunes charts and reached the Top 25 free iPad games and the Top 5 for both the Kids and Family sub-categories. Comedy Central’s Indecision Game is featured in the Election 2012 section of the iTunes app store and is a humorous trivia-based strategy game that finally answers the question of who’s smarter – Democrats, Republicans or Independents?
GridBlock, House Pest and Comedy Central’s Indecision Game were developed by Cat Daddy Games, the 2K studio behind the worldwide sensation Carnival Games.
