Majesco Entertainment Company an innovative provider of video games for the mass market and makers of the best-selling Zumba Fitness video game franchise, invites you to follow the transformation of two people whose stories will inspire millions.
Real people from across the country submitted video entries sharing their personal fitness goals and reasons why they would be ideal finalists in the Rush 90-day Challenge. Shad, a stay at home dad from Aurora, Illinois, and Daisy, a Disaster Housing Inspector Trainer from Winchester, Virginia, were selected to take the ultimate challenge: how fit can they get in 90 days by dancing themselves into shape with the Zumba Fitness Rush video game?
“The Zumba Fitness video game franchise is not only an exhilarating at-home dance party, it’s an effective fitness tool that lets players burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour long class. We’re all very invested in Shad’s and Daisy’s progress and it’s been exciting to witness what they’ve accomplished thus far by just playing the game four days a week and eating healthier,” said Liz Buckley, General Manager, Zumba Fitness Video Game Franchise, Majesco Entertainment.
“Our objective was to showcase real people with real fitness goals who could commit to the program, achieve their goals and in turn inspire others with their experience. With the same commitment to a regular at-home Zumba Fitness game workout, anyone can mirror their results and discover a workout they love.”
Both finalists received a “fitness toolkit” which included: a Kinect for Xbox 360 bundle, the Zumba Fitness Rush video game, an HTC Radar video phone, a subscription to Z-Life (Zumba’s lifestyle magazine), a customized digital scale and a personal visit from celebrity Zumba Fitness instructor Melissa Chiz who regularly stays in touch to keep them motivated.
Now, more than half way through the 90-day Challenge, both Shad and Daisy are committed to working out with the game four times a week and eating healthier. They are also documenting their fitness journey on-camera to share their experience and inspire others to try a Zumba video game or live class. If the chosen finalists conquer the challenge, they’ll take home $2,000 each and their inspirational journey will appear in a future Zumba Fitness video game.
Zumba Fitness Rush, available on Kinect for Xbox 360, invites you to lose yourself in the music with a fun, effective workout that offers “exercise in disguise.” Get a total body workout and party yourself into shape with 42 sizzling new songs and routines while you move to 24 international dance styles – that’s twice the number of styles included in the original Zumba Fitness game and more than any other dance game.
Fans can master 45 pre-set classes or customize their own playlist with their favorite tracks. In addition, the new Progress Tracker calculates calories burned so you can maximize your workout.
