ADATA Technology announces its speaking at a conference session at the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara, CA, held from August 21 – 23. The company’s CTO, Young-Joon Choi, will discuss strategies for optimizing user experiences through the correct Flash storage solutions.
As solid state drives become ubiquitous for consumer applications, it is growing more difficult to fully understand the relationship between performance behavior and user experiences over time. ADATA will present how user experiences in various scenarios are affected by the underlying architecture parameters of SSDs and what would be optimum strategies while considering performance and cost.
This will include demonstrating user SSD-related experiences in various scenarios, then analyzing how those experiences are affected by the SSD architecture parameters. Various strategies will then be proposed and discussed for optimality.
The presenter from ADATA, Young-Joon Choi, leads the company’s flash storage development and marketing. Prior to joining ADATA, Choi was Vice President of Flash Solution Enabling at Samsung.
He worked on initial NAND Flash developments on design and testing beginning early ’90 and later pioneered enablement of NAND Flash into mobile systems, including the first NAND-equipped iPaq PDA, and invented OneNAND Flash which was used in tens of millions of mobile phones worldwide. He is an industry authority on NAND architecture.
