Square Enix, the publisher of SQUARE ENIX interactive entertainment products in the Americas, announced that Chris Ballew provides the score for the upcoming first-person environmental puzzle game, Quantum Conundrum.
Chris is the twice Grammy nominated songwriter and lead singer for the four times platinum rock and roll band The Presidents of the United States of America. He now writes songs for kids under the name Caspar Babypants, who makes high quality, thoughtful, acoustic sing-along songs for parents and kids of all ages to enjoy together.
“I like making music for kids because I admire their inventive imaginations, and as an adult I nurture that same creativity in myself,” said Chris Ballew. “The gameplay, humor and art style in Quantum Conundrum embodies that same sentiment.”
“Chris was our top choice to score Quantum Conundrum,” said Tom Smurdon, audio director for Quantum Conundrum at Airtight Games. “The team wanted someone who would be fun and quirky and would really fit the style of the game. He’s a ton of fun to work with and all of that comes through in the music he writes.”
Developed by Airtight Games, Quantum Conundrum is now available for pre-order on Steam for Windows PC. The game will be available on June 21 for PC and later this summer on the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
Quantum Conundrum is rated E for Everyone with Comic Mischief.
