Australian games developer, Tin Man Games, is very excited to announce that they have signed a deal with Rebellion to create the first ever interactive digital gamebook based on the popular 2000AD character, Judge Dredd.
Rebellion, who publish both 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine, are delighted to build on the success of one of comic’s most famous characters by bringing his adventures in Mega-City One to a new medium. 2000AD editor, Matt Smith said, “It’s great to see Dredd coming to digital platforms like the iPhone and iPad!”
Using their successful Gamebook Adventures technology, Tin Man Games will be working closely with some of the team responsible for the most recent Judge Dredd tabletop role-playing game, “We’re privileged to be working with a great group of writers and artists that really understand the Judge Dredd universe,” said Creative Director, Neil Rennison.
Tin Man Games, whose directors are speaking this week at the Game Connect Asia Pacific 2011 conference in Melbourne, has created and published seven of its own interactive adventure gamebook apps for iOS platforms.
The, as yet, untitled Judge Dredd gamebook will be available to download from the App Store in Q2 2012 and will cost USD $4.99. It will also appear on Android platforms later that year.
