| Welcome to this week’s Status Update!
Whole team is busy with the upcoming release. We’re doing the final iterations of the new environment and it’s really starting to look nice. The bear is being tweaked and tested, and the last touches on the animations applied. Because of how the new area will look like with water and other obstacles we are also implementing a more advanced pathfinding system. This will basically make the animals move a lot smarter around larger obstacles. No more hogs trying to squeeze through fences or deers appearing as being trapped. This will improve movements of all animals and also allow for future interesting features. The new game server is being tested and while we’re at it we are also doing an overhaul of the way competitions and missions work today. We’re trying to make things easier and more accessible. Instead of having missions assigned through non-playable characters’ rambling in messages missions will now clearly be listed on it’s own page. See which ones are active, available, completed, locked and how you progress. Accept a missions with a click and clearly see description and it’s objectives. The competition interface will also be simplified and among other things allow enrollment in multiple competitions at once (even for the same species).
