The Retro League, a group of retro gaming enthusiasts have been running a contest (I really should have gotten this up sooner) and the prize is a Sega Dreamcast and many many games (list below). Anyhow, here are the rules, please goto the link below for any changes to these rules (the rules listed on TRL’s site are the ones that will be used for judging this contest) and what you have to do to win the Dreamcast system and games.
Your submission will be graded by the co-hosts in 3 categories of 10 points each for a total possible 30 points. The categories are:
ORIGINALITY –Discuss a game that few have heard about. Better yet talk about a game on a lesser known system. Use humor and personal stories. Be creative and unique!
PRESENTATION –Go the extra mile. Include illustrations, drawings, screenshots, game footage etc. Make sure your article is well written or your video well edited. Have all the technical aspects come together.
PERSUASION –Try to convince the co-hosts to play this game. Give us examples of why people may have originally thought the game was awful and counter them with your own examples of why you think these opinions are misguided. Explain to us why you think your chosen game is an underdog. Be SPECIFIC!
TAKE NOTE: This Contest is only valid if we receive 9 entries! That encourages you to get your friends or family members involved. They do not have to be a listener to enter. Everyone is welcome!
There are a few RULES that all entries must abide by:
– All entries must be received by email before11:59pm CST on Feb the 12th (date subject to change)
