Everyone here at OoPA are quite aware of Steve Harris and the great amount of work he is putting into bringing back his creation, EGM, after purchasing it back from it’s previous owner, Ziff Davis. Today, we have more information on exactly what is coming from Steve Harris and EGM Media Group thanks to the press release. Dan Hsu and Demian Linn will be returning to EGM, who are currently working on Bitmob.com.
The other part of the press release that is interesting is the revealing of more of the tapestry that EGM Media Group are creating. Seems we now have names for the various parts of the new EGM (besides the name of the magazine). The digital version/option is currently named EGM[i]: The Digital Magazine and the online component is using EGMNOW. Still no details on exactly what these various components will consist of (though mention of Demian Linn’s media accomplishments, including being Executive Producer of VideoGames.com and “The 1UP Show” bring the mind to believe that maybe we will see EGMTV or EGMRADIO or something similar soon).
What will the future hold for the newly returning founder of EGM mixing in with the man that commanded the ship to it’s last days under Ziff Davis? When we have more information, you will have more information.
