Square Enix has released some more information on Supreme Commander 2, a futuristic strategy title coming to PC and Xbox 360 (for more on that, check here). Right now though, we are proud to bring you more information on the game including, ACU Commander artwork, Unit shots and other various screen grabs (just because we care that much about you, our readers).
On to the new information:
Bomb Bouncer’s are units that hit the battlefield with a rather massive shield that it is able to extend above not only the unit itself but those in the immediate surrounding area (interesting). The name, Bomb Bouncer though, comes from the unique qualities of that shield, it well, bounces incoming fire and weaponry away (also, the BB has a special weapon of it’s own that charges when the shield is hit-this can also be charged with energy reserves prior to battle- talk about a double whammy).
The next unit we are aware of is the Pulinsmash (the whah?). The Pulinsmash is unique in that it creates a vortex with it’s giant arms that sucks in enemy units (not impressed? Read on). The first enemy unit sucked in is held in place, like a little pinata waiting to be hit (it won’t have to wait long). The second enemy unit is used as a weapon as it is slammed into the first unit, destroying both (see, unique). This works with ground and air units just the same so be careful if you see one of these coming at your units because it is not going to be pretty.
Our final unit of this announcement is called Kraken (no, not the mythological creature, though it is water based). Really this is a Cybran submarine that can attack all kinds of enemy units (on land if close to the shore, in the air if flying low, and even other watercraft-all for the price of one unit! Get yours today!).
