Rollers of the Realm: Reunion – Coming to PC in 2022

Rollers of the Realm, the pinball RPG smash hit genre mashup from Phantom Compass, is getting a new installment in Rollers of the Realm: Reunion — and that means new levels, new characters, and of course, new gameplay mechanics!

Today, the company unleashes a look at the “Dash” ability, a brand new feature that allows the player to slow down time while they launch their ball, providing an extended period to plan, aim, and execute trick shots and difficult maneuvers. Not only that, but every class comes equipped with a unique bonus ability, and today we’ll give you a sneak peek.

Phantom Compass is also thrilled to announce they’ve partnered up with gaming PC legends Alienware as part of the Retro Throwback promotion. All players need to do is sign up for the Alienware Arena by Thursday, August 19, and they’ll have a chance to win a free key for the original Rollers of the Realm — which is a great way to sharpen those pinball skills and get up to speed on the story before playing the sequel.

The Dash ability is new to the Rollers series, which can be used in place of each Hero’s Special once the player has fully powered up the Mana bar. And it wouldn’t be an RPG without class-specific skills, and in Rollers of the Realm: Reunion, each hero not only has a special ability, but a unique Dash as well.

  • The Rogue: Taking advantage of classic Rogue stylings, this Dash increases the chance of critical damage against a foe, and even, perhaps, instantly defeat them.

  • The Knight: In true chivalric form, the Knight’s Dash boosts his chance to smash enemies flat and temporarily stun them.

  • The Healer: While not offensive in nature, the Healer’s special Dash makes it more likely that defeated enemies will drop repair and health potions.

  • The Mage: The Mage’s powerful magical abilities cause the Dash to drop an intimidating firewall that damages nearby enemies.

  • The Prince: Using what Louis XIV referred to as “The last argument of kings,” the Prince’s dash involves the use of deadly cannon fire upon activation.

Rollers of the Realm is currently available for Windows PC for $9.99 USD, and the bigger, bolder, and roll-ier sequel, Rollers of the Realm: Reunion, will launch in 2022 on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
