Meet Up-and-Coming Brazilian Developers Lunic Games & Check Out Their Tactical Rogue-lite Game Evertried

Brazil is quickly becoming a hot spot for independent game development, and studios like Lunic Games are among the reasons that both developers and publishers are looking at Latin America’s 2nd largest video game market. The studio is currently hard at work polishing up their second game, the rogue-lite tactics title, Evertried. After blowing past its Kickstarter goal, the team is thrilled to announce that starting today, the game, published by DANGEN Entertainment, is now available to wishlist on Steam along with a new playable demo.

Lunic Games is another critically-acclaimed example of the great things happening in Brazil’s thriving games industry and a prominent member of Brazil Games — an export program created by the Brazilian Game Companies Association, ABRAGAMES, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade, and Investment Promotion Agency.

Selected as part of the “Best by Brazil” selection during Brazil’s Independent Game (BIG) Festival 2021 as well as participating in the “Brazil’s Panorama” event at BIG, Evertried is a tactical rogue-lite game with a tiled, isometric perspective. Players must ascend the enigmatic Tower — a sort of purgatory for lost souls to prove themselves worthy — by completing 50 floors jam-packed with enemies, using Skills and Modifiers to boost their abilities during each run. Of course, when (not if) the player dies, they start all over again at the ground floor, albeit a little stronger, a little smarter, and more prepared than before thanks to permanent upgrades and combat experience.
