Konami Digital Entertainment, announced today a pre-launch campaign for a new mobile gaming app called “PES Manager”. PES Manager will be available in English for both iOS and Android in 55 countries worldwide at a date to be announced in the near future.
The pre-launch campaign offers players a chance to receive a “Player Badge” that they can use to gain an early competitive advantage once the game launches. The pre-launch campaign started worldwide from April 16.
PES Manager is the global version of the “World Soccer Collection S” game app, the highest selling soccer game app in Japan1. The game is a full-scale soccer/football game application, featuring realistic matches presented in 3D, more than 1,500 star player badges with real player pictures from various EU leagues, and intuitive and easy controls.
Pre-launch Campaign
- ● The pre-launch campaign is designed to help players receive a competitive advantage by offering one player’s badge as a starter pack prior to the game’s launch. Campaign participants will receive their starter player badge through a shootout challenge which can be performed up to three times in one 24 hour period. After seeing the player badge that has been unlocked following the shootout challenge, participants can either choose to keep the badge or try again. If the participant is still not satisfied with the badge they receive, they can unlock another shootout session by sharing the pre-launch campaign information via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and/or LINE. Sharing on social media sites will allow participants a maximum of up to 12 attempts per day, and the participants can try for the player badge of their choice until the day the game officially launches.
Game Flow
- ● The game starts by the mobile app user acquiring player badges. The badges are then combined for a single team, which is managed by the app user. App users arrange the badges in their desired formation and work to level up the player badges through training. Teams are then taken to stage battles, cup battles or league battles, where there are additional rewards, such as unlocking new player badges, for app users to acquire.
Real matches presented in 3D
- ● While designed for mobile platforms, PES Manager displays matches in a realistic 3D format. This allows the app users to enjoy the matches their unique teams play similar to watching a real game. In addition, players can change who is on the field, formations and other instructions while matches are happening in real-time.
More than 1,500 player badges with real pictures
- ● The badges representing the athletes in the game are comprised of real pictures of the world’s soccer players, such as Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Beñat Etxebarria, Carlos Vela and Giovani dos Santos. The badges also feature the athlete’s unique play style with the skill sets that have been assigned. Special skills can be activated at certain points during matches and the abilities are represented through featured movements. The base player badges can be combined with partner training badges to improve personal and team skills throughout the season, further enhancing the strength of your team.
Intuitive and easy controls
- ● Whether during a match or when managing badges or other team information off the field, the game offers intuitive controls that make gameplay operation simple. The game also features a unique system of acquiring new badges using a special “Prize Draw” system. There are two ways to receive new player badges: 1) “Normal Prize Draw” and 2) “Premium Prize Draw”. “Normal Prize Draws” are acquired as a reward for clearing stages or are drawn using friend points. “Premium Prize Draws” are drawn one time using five (5) “Energy Balls”. Energy Balls are obtained by paying for them, as a reward for stage battles or as a gift from game administration.
