The latest addition to the Harvest Moon universe – Harvest Moon: Hero of the Valley – will be available on the PSP today, Friday 12th November. Harvest Moon: Hero of the Valley brings a new spin to the ever popular Harvest Moon series and features exciting elements of gameplay brand new to the franchise.
The heartless Funland Corporation is going to bulldoze the town of Leaf Valley and replace it with an amusement park unless its citizens can find a way to stop them. Players will need to grow crops, raise animals, mine ores and gems to help save Leaf Valley and the family farm. Along the way, they’ll earn money and develop their skills in part-time jobs, building relationships with the villagers to gain their trust and help. How players choose to save the town is up to them!
Previous editions of Harvest Moon focussed more on farming simulation with role-playing the secondary aspect of gameplay. Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley takes the series in a new direction, by offering a deeper and more robust role-playing experience, best described as a ‘Life Simulation’.
Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley also differs from the original Harvest Moon concept by offering different minigames within the game, such as: horse racing, fishing and mining. You will be able to expand your house and cook recipes. Every aspect of the game has been expanded to create a deeper and more engrossing game play experience.
There will be a variety of different heartwarming events with one event leading to another, with the game ultimately finishing with one of 16 different possible endings.
“Each new Harvest Moon is an opportunity to enjoy this great gaming universe,” says Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “We’ve always been fans of the franchise and Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley continues to deliver the goods. There are some great new features in Hero of Leaf Valley which gamers returning to the franchise and those new to Harvest Moon will enjoy.”
