Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z – Now Available

Leading video game publisher and developer Namco Bandai Games America today announced that Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z has shipped to retailers in North America, Latin America, and Brazil on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and a digital version of the title for the PlayStation Vita system. Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z features over-the-top anime action and trademark intensity of the Dragon Ball Z world; presented in new cell-shaded HD graphics that pay homage to the art style of the original anime and manga.

Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z also features expanded versus and co-op modes, allowing players to create teams of four characters to take on opponents across the globe.

Developed by Tokyo based game developer ARTDINK; Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z features a large cast of playable characters including fan favorites Goku, Piccolo, and Vegeta. Players will use a variety of melee and famous attacks including the Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon, and Spirit Bomb to vanquish human opponents as well as A.I. controlled enemies. Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z draws inspiration for its epic battles from the original anime series all of which take place in rich environments on both land and in the air.

Players will be able to form teams with up to four characters to participate in group melee action, take on massive boss battles, or challenge other players around the world for brawls that can include up to eight characters on screen at the same time.

Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z will be available for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, and PlayStation Vita (digital download only) in North America, Latin America, and Brazil. A special Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z Day One Edition will be offered while supplies last at participating retailers and features a download code for Goku’s Naruto Uzumaki Sage Mode Costume from the popular Naruto Shippuden series (not available for Vita version).
