Carrier Command: Gaea Mission – Fundamentals of Warfare

Rising Star Games today released a brand new trailer for its upcoming Xbox 360 and Windows PC game, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. Titled, “Fundamentals of Warfare,” the new trailer highlights Carrier Command: Gaea Mission’s core mechanics and refreshing gameplay.

Based on the groundbreaking classic from 1988, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission blends first- and third-person vehicular combat with tactical and strategic elements. Set in a massive game environment — consisting of 33 unique islands hosting six distinct climatic zones — players are put in command of a futuristic military carrier holding a multitude of remotely controllable and customizable units. By traversing the seas and establishing a strategic network of island bases for mining, production and defense, players will set out to destroy the enemy carrier and conquer the archipelago on planet Taurus.

The game features the Gaea Mission campaign in which players follow a rich storyline involving Lt. Myrik, a soldier of the United Earth Coalition, who has been sent on a mission to defeat the Asian Pacific Alliance. Similar to the original Carrier Command, players can go head on with the title’s Strategy Game mode, enabling them to set starting parameters such as enemy strength and available resources — all of which determine the difficulty and length of a game.

Developed by Bohemia Interactive, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission will ship to retailers nationwide on October 2, 2012. The game will be available on the Xbox 360 for $59.99 and Windows PC for $49.99.
