Team17 Turns Rouge for Rogue Heroes

Team17 has today announced a new partnership agreement with Heliocentric Studios for its upcoming up-to-four-player, action role-playing game, Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos. The game, scheduled for a 2020 launch on Steam, blends roguelike gameplay with procedural dungeons and an expansive fantasy overworld.

In addition to battling enemies across the major dungeons, Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos also features skill tree customisation for characters, while village building gameplay mechanics provide townspeople with more services and houses to improve their lives.

Joshua Gump, Programmer at Heliocentric Studios, said:
“We’ve had a fantastically busy period releasing two titles on Steam in just three years, but for Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos – our most ambitious game to date – we wanted to ensure we had the support and experience of a publishing label behind us. Team17’s track record of helping developers successfully bring their games to market brought us reassurance that Rogue Heroes will realise its potential, and we can’t wait to launch the game in 2020.”

Max Everingham, Head of Publishing at Team17, said:
“Heliocentric Studios’ innovative takes on mixing classic game genres continues to help the team stand out from the crowd, and with Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos they’re looking to do so once again. Rogue Heroes is a great addition to our ever-growing portfolio of titles that we’re publishing in 2020, and we can’t wait to support Joshua and Brandon in realising their vision for the game.”
