Escape from Tarkov – New Quest System Revealed

Escape from Tarkov – New Quest System Revealed

As part of their attendance at gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany, developer Battlestate Games is inviting members of the media to meet with them for a hands-on demonstration of Escape from Tarkov, its realism-focused hardcore FPS/MMO hybrid. Also, for the first time ever, Battlestate will be showing the game’s new Quest system and new abilities in weapon handling that’s been integrated into the recent Closed Beta.

As the name implies, the Quest system offers players a mix of tasks, given to them by traders in-game. Whenever a task is completed, the player’s reputation among the traders will improve (and vice-versa if quests are failed), which gives the player more experience to spend on skills, along with earning economic rewards. Through these quests, the player will gradually learn more about what has been happening in the war-torn city of Tarkov, and uncover the motivations of the traders.

Quests are widely varied – from “search and recover”, to trading, interaction, target neutralization tasks and much more. as well as editors wanting to experience Escape from Tarkov and its new Quest system.

For those who will not be at gamescom, there will be a live broadcast from the Twitch stage show (Wednesday August 23nd at 3:30pm – 3:45pm // 15:30 – 15:45 CEST).

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore story-driven military MMO featuring elements of FPS and RPG. The game’s storyline takes place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed off by roadblocks and plunged into chaos as warfare rages between private military companies throughout the urban battlefield.

Escape from Tarkov’s Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator employs a number of custom system modules to create incredibly immersive gameplay and make players feel the reality of their surroundings. Combatants will be able to customize their weapons, creating nearly-limitless, though realistic, combinations of weapon features, while learning skills that can improve, or, in a new twist, degrade over time, depending on how much use they get from players.
