Independent micro studio Allgraf announced the release of patch 1.2.3 for its epic sandbox PC sci-fi action game Darkout, that includes a number of enhanced features to the universe that radically enhance the gameplay experience.
Darkout is available now, from PC digital download channel Steam for $14 .99, £9.99, €11.99. Darkout is also part of the Steam sale with 15% off the price until January 2nd, 2014.
“Our passion in creating an awesome gaming experience, has always been paramount and with patch 1.2.3 we have implemented some big changes to the Darkout world”, said Adrian Banninga, CEO of Allgraf. “The latest patch implements a more detailed tutorial, along with a redesigned user interface, to assist the player in their fight for survival. We have also refined other features within the game and have fixed all outstanding bugs as we develop and expand on the Darkout world.”
As the survivor of a crashed stasis pod players on a remote, undiscovered planet, players progress through randomly generated 2D levels as they research, build, and defend themselves against alien beings that roam the darkness. Darkout unique research and crafting system encourages players to be creative and innovative with their strategies against a horde of light-sensitive creatures that become all the more abundant in darker places and when night falls.
Further explore the world through Darkout’s main story and logs left behind by others that shed light on what happened in Illuna’s past and what place your character has in its future.
Finding and interacting with items, gathering resources, building shelters, crafting weapons, exploring, assimilating and activating intuitively presented stats screens must be strategically balanced for your ongoing welfare. Beware of the Boss, a fight to the death could ensue but the rewards for killing it would be substantial. With more exciting stages in development including multiplayer and expanding narrative within the Darkout universe, complete with an unfolding saga, the first stage of Darkout is an unmissable challenge.
