The Book of Unwritten Tales – Now Available for Linux

Today, Nordic Games announced that “The Book of Unwritten Tales” is now available for Linux and can be played via Steam Linux Beta.

Overwhelmed with countless awards, and highly acclaimed by fans and critics alike, “The Book of Unwritten Tales” makes its way to Linux and enables the Linux gaming community to fully immerse itself in Tux’s version of Aventásia.

Steam Linux Beta is now live and open to anyone with a steam account, everybody is invited to sign up for it.

Linux always had a very dedicated user base and I am happy to see that gaming expands its horizons with a platform like Steam. As part of our strategy, we want to be early adopters on platforms and operating systems that suit our games. Linux is definitely a great opportunity to make our games available to a broader audience. It is evident, that “The Book of Unwritten Tales” is just the first of our games on the Linux platform” said Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development at Nordic Games.

We’re excited for players to finally get their hands on the Steam Linux version,” said Jan Theysen, Creative Director at KING Art.  “It will also allow fans of the game and those who may not have played before to be part of something special in PC gaming history.

Developed by KING Art, “The Book of Unwritten Tales” was originally released on Steam in July 2012.

Set in a world torn by war, the aged gremlin archaeologist Mortimer McGuffin discovers a reference to a legendary artefact of unimaginable power. Whoever holds this treasure in their hands will determine the fate of the world.

While the Army of the Shadows sends out its best agents on the merciless hunt for the artefact, the Alliance’s three heroes find themselves involuntarily drawn into the crisis.
