DOFUS: Frigost Episode 2 – Coming September 21st

Ankama would like to announce the release of the second episode of Frigost, the latest extension from the DOFUS era. This content, destined for high level players, will be available on the 21st September, 2010.

Following the addition of a substantial amount of content last 25th June, a new part of Frigost, the ice continent, will be accessible to DOFUS players on the 21st September, 2010.

This new zone of the whale-shaped island is destined for players level 160-200. The second episode will contain: 5 new areas (that’s 300 new maps of different game zones to explore), 4 dungeons, over 30 new monsters, more than 40 new quests and 130 objects (of which around fifty can be equipped).

The theme of this episode: save the Snowbound Village from the claws of a skulk of Snowfoux!

The story behind episode 2:
Whilst players are expecting to find Count Harebourg’s followers in an isolated village, they end up falling upon some poor, frightened peasants. A skulk of Snowfoux, nicknamed the Foux Fighters by the village’s inhabitants, are getting ready to attack…

The story of Frigost:

Nearly a century ago, Frigost was a green and fertile land, where the climate was mild and temperate. Promoting progress and innovation, the island had become the largest agricultural power in the World of Twelve. Only Amakna, its rival, always threatened to supplant them…
To avoid this, Count Harebourg, genius of his time, built a machine capable of influencing the climate.
Fascinated by this wonderful invention, Jiva, the Guardian of Javian, asked the Count to refine the technology in order to carry out a secret mission. But the experiment was cut short and the Demon Djaul, who was not expected there, went into a rage. To punish the inhabitants of Frigost for this affront, he froze the island in time and ordered its residents to live in a perpetual winter…
