Microsoft and Oberon Media Join Together to Help Fight Breast Cancer

Microsoft and Oberon Media have joined forces to fight Breast Cancer with Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.  What this means is, between the 12th and the 18th of October 5% of profits from every PC game purchased through MSN.com.

Megan Hodel of MSN Games Global Marketing had this to say, “We are proud to team together with Oberon Media in an effort to raise money for this cause,” said Megan Hodel, MSN Games Global Marketing Manager. “We are committed to making a difference and encourage players to support this effort by purchasing some of their favorite casual games.”

Here are some stats about breast cancer to help everyone understand better why this a good thing:

Breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women ages 40-59, and the most prominent cancer among all American women, the majority of whom had few risk factors. This year, an estimated 215,990 women and 1,450 men in the U.S. alone will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and it is estimated that 40,410 women and 460 men will die from breast cancer this year. The organization is working towards saving lives, empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cure to fight breast cancer.
